Xaratanga´s Shrine

Above the purépecha pyramids there were wooden temples or "cues", where they sheltered the images of their gods, probably made with cane paste, very similar to the baroque christs that were made in the region after the conquest. Xaratanga was the goddess of fertility, associated with the moon and the lake.
