Nahual / Changeling

Nahuales are very popular in mexican folklore: witches or warlocks able to morph into different kinds of animals (owls, coyotes, even turkeys-guajolotes). But... what if they use a middle-kind of state? something between human and animal? The result could be nightmarish, like this version of mine: an ape-faced coyote or tlacuache creature, lurking over you at the high grass...
